State Reporting

What does it mean?

  • State reporting refers to the ability of your agency to submit pre-hospital EMS incident data to a state managed EMS incident repository.
  • In addition to the incident data, Agency data is typically required (e.g. Medic names, certification dates, vehicle call signs, etc.).
  • Data submission is performed electronically.  The electronic format of the data is determined by the state.
  • Data submission is usually a scheduled activity (e.g. weekly, monthly).
  • The data submission activity is usually performed by an agency administrator.

Does every state have the same requirements?

  • No.  Every state has different requirements, and this has become a problem for state data managers.
  • To help with this issue, a national organization named NEMSIS (National EMS Information System) has been created to define standards and best practices for collecting and reporting pre-hospital EMS data.
  • Your state is either following NEMSIS standards, or has a proprietary solution.  Either way, eMedicReports is ready to support your requirements.

How  eMedicReports resolves this issue for you!

  • eMedicReports is a Gold Certified Application.  This certification is awarded by NEMSIS to application vendors that are capable of producing data extracts that are guaranteed to work with your state's NEMSIS compliant EMS data repository.
  • eMedicReports works with state repositories that are not NEMSIS compliant.  For these states, extracts can be produced to comply with proprietary repositories that meet trusted formats.
  • Either way, eMedicReports has your agency covered!
